structured to provide a comprehensive preparation on transfemoral prosthesis design, starting from the clinical and functional analysis of the amputee patient. During the first phase of the course, the anatomy of the transfemoral stump, the classification of amputations and the clinical indications are examined in depth, together with the study of the different types of prosthesis and modular components available. Particular attention is devoted to the functional evaluation of the patient, considering posture, load and mobility, in order to correctly set the prosthetic project and the subsequent technical choices.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1b1ff0c e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"1b1ff0c\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a9dbd8a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a9dbd8a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Modelling, reservoir construction and prosthetic testing<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-15b9bd4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"15b9bd4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The central part of the course is devoted to practical laboratory activities, which take participants through all the operational phases of transfemoral prosthesis fabrication. The programme includes correction of the positive and anatomical-functional modelling, introduction to carbon composites and lamination techniques, up to the construction of the reservoir by vacuum lamination and final finishing. The course is completed with prosthesis assembly, static and dynamic alignment techniques, dummy or patient testing and assisted walking, including gait analysis and video observation.
