The footbed to win! Baropodometric evaluations and customisation in sport
- 28 October 2025
- Mestre (VE)
- Start 9 a.m.
- 10 CME credits
Baropodometry and biomechanics applied to sport
The training course is designed to delve into the role of the footbed in sport, analysing the reference market and the different biomechanical requirements of individual sports disciplines. During the seminar, baropodometry was introduced as a fundamental tool for assessing plantar support, with a theoretical framework on static and dynamic analysis and interpretation of the main parameters measured. The aim of the training course was to provide technical and biomechanical criteria useful for reading data and their application in the design of customised sports insoles.
Practical assessment and customisation of the sports footbed
A central element of the course was the practical approach, with the direct use of the baropodometric platform and the performance of measurements in static and dynamic conditions, including walking and light running. Participants carried out mutual evaluations, analysing the results obtained and comparing the parameters according to the different sports disciplines, such as running, basketball, cycling and other specialities. The second part of the day was dedicated to the choice of the most suitable arch support model and its customisation according to the footprint and functional requirements of the sport practised. The final comparison and operational exercises have made it possible to translate instrumental data into concrete and applicable solutions, concluding the course with a CME test valid for the recognition of training credits.
